It's been a minute, hasn't it? I took a little break from writing, and from creating content in general.
Why?
Put simply, I was burnt out.
Life has a way of pulling us in different directions, and I needed some time to step back, breathe, and refocus. The constant pressure to create was starting to feel heavy, and I realized I wasn't giving myself space to actually live the experiences I wanted to write about. I wasn't feeling excited about writing…it became an obligation. Every time I sat down to write, I felt this weight on my shoulders – like I was forcing words that didn't want to come naturally.
Where I've Been
These past few months have been transformative. I've been diving deep into personal development, exploring new territories (literally and figuratively), and working on projects that light me up inside.
I spent a lot of time with friends, enjoying nature (I learned that baby scorpions are called scorplings), competed in and placed 1st in an in-house jiu-jitsu tournament at my gym, experienced snow in Texas (that dusting closed the schools here), found a local farm to start buying our eggs from, and tried out some new coffee shops. I really just focused on being present and seeing what activities really brought me peace, happiness, and growth.

I decided that this year is going to be a year of exploring and experimenting. I'm trying to let go of my expectations of how the world is "supposed" to work and what I'm "supposed" to be doing. I'm leaning into discomfort and trying new things even if they're scary or intimidating.
You know those moments when you realize you've been living life on autopilot? That's where I was. So I started saying "yes" to experiences that made my heart race a little (in both exciting and terrifying ways). I've been journaling more, spending time in nature, and really listening to what my intuition is telling me – even when it goes against what I think I "should" be doing.
Life-Changing Moments in the Wild
Speaking of adventures – I recently returned from an all-women's hunting and camping trip that completely changed my perspective on strength, community, and self-reliance.
While I'm saving the full story for a dedicated issue (trust me, you'll want to hear every detail), I'll just say this: there's something magical about standing in the wilderness with a group of powerful women, supporting each other as we step out of our comfort zones.
Between learning to track animals, sitting in complete silence as the sun rose, and sleeping in a tent in sub-freezing temperatures, we started as strangers but ended as sisters – I came back changed in ways I'm still processing.
What's Next
Moving forward, this newsletter is evolving. While I'll still share personal stories and insights, I'm focusing more on practical tools for growth, real-life adventure stories, and creating a stronger community connection. Expect more interactive elements, guest features, and opportunities for us to learn from each other.
I still intend to write about relationships, but also my life experiences. I'll be sharing more photos and stories, hoping to highlight the importance of loving yourself first. This isn't just about posting pretty pictures – it's about sharing the messy, beautiful journey of growth, including the stumbles and victories along the way.
Some specific things you can look forward to:
Real, unfiltered stories about my journey with self-love and personal growth
Practical exercises and prompts for your own self-discovery
Guest features and interviews from inspiring women who are walking their own unique paths
Photo essays that capture the raw beauty of stepping outside your comfort zone
I've missed our conversations and can't wait to hear what you've been up to. Hit reply and let me know – what would you like to see more of in upcoming issues? What challenges are you facing in your own journey? Let's rebuild this connection and grow together.
With warmth and excitement for what's ahead,
Rychelle 💜
P.S. Thank you for sticking around during my break. Your presence means more than you know.
